VERLIN JACK BYERS, JR. OBITUARY

BYERS, VERLIN JACK, JR., age 87, of Sweetwater,TN, passed away 11:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 at Sweetwater Hospital. He attended Vonore Full Gospel Church. Preceded in death by wife, Callie Byrum Byers; parents, Jack Gaston Byers and Dovie Self Byers; sisters, Gracie Chapman, Nettie Beavers, Emma Sue Byers, Dolly Lynn; brothers, Vernon Byers, Dewey Byers and Clarence Byers. Survivors: daughters, Mary Snowden, of Athens, Debra Ann Priest, Englewood, Misty Winkler, Tellico Plains, Glenda Sue Byers, of Sweetwater, Wanda Mae Boggess, Athens, Elisha Jane Hale, Cleveland; sons, Bobby Byers, Madisonville, Wayne Byers, Etowah, Ricky Byers, Greenback; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Moses, Athens, Katie Davis, Coker Creek, Ruby Stanley, Dahlonega, GA, Alice Roberts, Tellico Plains, several nieces and nephews. Graveside service 4:00 p.m. Monday, Giles Cemetery, Rev. Jarvis Bivens officiating. Family and friends need to assemble by 3:15 p.m. Monday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains for the procession to the cemetery.
